Photographs hint at but don’t truly convey the evocative nature of these forms when the the polymer glaze wraps both interior and exterior. It transforms them from the decorative into something greater.
I am building small collections based on the glaze tests. Transposed numbers and looking at the wrong line led to a slightly larger variety of combinations than planned. It’s all good so long as you can figure out what you did.
Another week of glazing ahead to complete the last of the bisque fired forms. By next post I will have been glazing and firing for a month. What a month based on the results so far! So much to savour and process. I am grateful that after forty years as a potter there is still so much left to discover.
