In 2018, the buy-nothing-live-simply-minimalist movement will continue to gain followers. That makes it pretty tough for people in the arts. For me, it means making basic functional work to survive.
Where I see my recent glaze discoveries as summing up the age in which we live, a minimalist sees them differently. I resolve to be more restrained in my glaze choices.
The colour cat decals are print ready now. I wanted to start throwing but have yet to finish clearing the space. Slab building instead this week. I could use the practice. Spent part of New Year’s day making paper cups to use as templates. I’ll be rolling out the slabs later today.
