Having to take a week off to look after my health gave me time to reflect on what I am doing. Throwing, not hand building, is the fastest and easiest way to generate form. That is where I should be focussing my energies.
My skills are a little rusty after three years but improving each day. With a little perseverance, it will feel like second nature again.
Once these cylinders have been trimmed and the handles attached, I will be throwing more. I am looking to have several varieties of mugs available. Some glazed plainly, some with colour decals, some with laser decals and some with bands of contrasting glaze to the exterior. Different shapes and handles as well.
Feels good to be back behind the wheel again! Looking forward to the seeing where it takes me.
