This porcelain scent bottle dates to the mid nineteenth century. Continental European.

The subject is Gambrinus, the mythical Belgian King of Beer and patron saint of brewers. April 11 is his accepted birthday.

Made with duo scent chambers. One opens in the beer glass, the other in the top of the head. Crown stopper missing cotton ball but otherwise intact. Head stopper missing altogether.

If someone told this bottle’s original owner they smelled like a brewery, perhaps they might have been paying them a compliment.

13.3 cm in height.
