Once the lids for the modular set were completed, there were thirty three new moulds in just over a week. It didn’t sink in how many that was until I unstacked them. These and other recent moulds pretty much covered the entire work table when it came time to slip cast. I shudder to think how much tighter the space would be if I had spent the week making the moulds for the other modules.

Slip casting this many moulds in a day was a big job. I started early and finished late. My days alternated between slip casting on one and cleaning greenware the next.

The forms fit together just the way I imagined. I realize now the modules will have to be glaze fired in stacks. There is no tolerance for warping. Thinking base unit with one or two stackers, topped by a lid. Need to make more base units and lids to balance the numbers.

Looking to cast one more round of selected moulds. When those forms have been cleaned up, it’s on to bisque firing and glazing.
