I’ve begun to suspect that the porcelain body I have been using might be the underlying cause of the glaze issues. That would explain a few things. Switched to Tucker’s 1085 just in case.
Generated lots of mug parts this week. Thrown bodies, extruded/pulled handles and slab feet. Going with raised feet and glazed bottoms this time.
Finding the videos personally instructive. In one of this week’s out takes I spotted an easily correctible flaw in the process that I had completely missed in the moment. No one take ever seems to be perfect.
